Recycle your old computer equipment in Lakeland at the Alltek Smashathon!

We’ve all been frustrated by our technology. Computer monitors malfunction, phones stop working, and even the most promising printers end up shoved in a supply closet at some point. Not only are these electronics unusable, but they’re also taking up valuable storage space for companies across Lakeland! How can we confront this problem and have fun solving it?

Alltek Services is proud to present the Alltek Smashathon.

The Smashathon is an innovative, eco-friendly answer to the technology waste that has piled up in offices and businesses throughout the Lakeland area. The concept is unprecedented: bring old office technology such as computers, printers, and phones to The Yard on Mass on July 22nd, and have a blast grabbing a bat and smashing them apart!

100% of the proceeds for this event will go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Polk County. The Smashathon combines recycling and stress-relief for an excellent cause!

There’s no limit to the amount of equipment you can bring, so feel free to completely clean out your closet. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of equipment to smash even if you don’t have any of your own.

Whatever remains of the smashed-up electronics will be efficiently recycled by Urban Recycling and their on-site trucks. However, we wonder how much will remain after visitors have a go at their least-favorite pieces of technology…

Of course, safety is a high priority. We will be providing personal protective equipment to guests, who will be able to start smashing after signing a waiver detailing the process.

Not in the mood for destroying an old printer or computer? No problem! The Alltek Smashathon will feature game booths, food trucks, and an in-person raffle to give guests a variety of activities to choose from. Rest-assured, our IT humor will be on full display.

The Smashathon will take place from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on July 22nd at The Yard on Mass. This is an open event where you can come and go as you please; show up anytime between 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and enjoy what we have to offer! Anyone interested in attending our Smashathon can sign up at the provided link:

Recycle your old equipment, raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Polk County, and have a blast smashing apart tons of old technology! We look forward to seeing you at the first-ever Alltek Smashathon.

Special thanks to our sponsors Burnetti, P.A., Leading Edge Physical Therapy, and Urban Recycling for making this event possible.
